Although she was primarily trained in oils, her passion is, now and forever, Pastels. She has been painting with Pastels exclusively for the last 12 years She has taught many mediums, including oil, acrylic, drawing, for the past 25 years, but now concentrates all her creative energies on Pastels teaching a weekly pastels class for the last 10 years.

For these very popular weekly classes, she tries to present a different lesson or challenge each week, giving her students as thorough a knowledge of the medium as possible. She includes drawing and perspective lessons, information on pastel and paper/surface brands, as well as lessons on color theory, composition and value/tone, types and methods of underpaintings, etc, with a weekly demo on whatever is the focus of that class.

With her encouragement and guidance, a total, so far, of 4 of her students have applied for, and have been juried into the Pastel Society of America in the last 3 years.

Next year Jacob Aquair is scheduled.
