Inspiration : On a personal reflection, in this pandemic times, three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
On a stormy day when the rain seems never-ending, it is common that pedestrians will seek shelter for themselves or at least huddle under an umbrella. However, a passer-by, a good Samaritan actually pauses and walks towards a drenched stray puppy, which is obviously seeking shelter too. Then, my thoughts suddenly awaken to reality, questioning myself: which pedestrian am I or would I be if I were in such a scenario? More often than not, I think I’m blessed enough with loving friends and family members who will automatically play the role of this empathetic gentleman, whereas I’m often in the position of stray. Thankfully at this time I’m far from the position of being a “stray”.
Food for thought: if you have read this far, have you ever pondered which role you would play?

Reference : Composition is a figment of my own imagination. It serves to give life to my musings of the new norm scenario that is a global phenomenon. I chose a typical Malaysian cityscape, one that is familiar to me. Composition was drafted first in several thumbnail sketches based on my memories from my regular en plein air experiences prior to national lockdown. These were so commonplace such that they were taken for granted. I’m now desperately missing these outdoor sketch activities and therefore needed an outlet through my imagination and reflection.
