Dinner at Eight (diptych), 19.5x32.5 inch, Soft pastel. The painting depicts a scene of my street cats having dinner. I combined several of my reference photos to build up the composition. Two pieces of sanded paper were attached together to get the painting surface in the desired size. My palette was focused on the green-to-turquois color family and the orange-to brown color family. This color combination created a magical almost surreal effect.
