Suzanne Godbout our judge for the November Get Dusty Competition 2020 has made her decision. The winner is Silja Salmistu with "Shards bring luck", congratulations! As this is Silja's forth Get Dusty win in a year, the material prize goes to the second place, according to the competition rules.

Announcing the winners of the GET DUSTY PGE Open Online Pastel Competition 2020

We are happy to reveal the winners of the PGE Open Online Pastel Competition 2020. We were very impressed by the quality of the submitted works. Of the 355 paintings submitted by 104 artists, 24 were choosen for an award by our international judges. We thank Daggi Wallace PSA, Tony Allain PSA, Sharron Blackmore and Dominique Houard for their work which cannot have been easy!

Our Winter Free Choice Get Dusty competition is open for entries. You may choose the category - Still life/Floral, Landscape, Animal, Portrait/Figure, as long as your painting is predominantly blue. How about a winter landscape or a blue bird, a bouquet of blue flowers or a blue-clad person? The possibilities are manifold. 

The deadline for the Winter Get Dusty is January, 25, 2021. Every participant may enter up to three paintings.

Get to your easels and end the year on a blue note!

 

 

A pastel painter since 1995, Canadian artist Suzanne Godbout combines her own professional career with teaching, demonstrations, conferences, and workshops in order to spread the renaissance of the pastel media, its materials and its techniques. 

Her work has been shown in many exhibitions in America, Europe, Russia and China and has been awarded many prizes. Developing her work from observation, her favorite subjects are still life and landscape. 

President of the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada from 2005 to 2011, she has studied with several great French and American masters. She has exhibited in Giverny, France many time and her work has been featured in Pratique des Arts magazine in 2016.
